ROVIN CERAMICS SKG and SKS base glazes are packaged as shown above or in convenient 2-1/2 pound bags. Add one package from the Mason Stain test groups and one 2-1/2 pound bag to a dry gallon jug, shake well to mix. Wear a NIOSH approved mask when pouring dry materials from one container to another. Then add approx. 3-1/2 cups luke warm water to the dry mixture and shake until mixed. Takes about two minutes. This will make about 3 pints of wet glaze, ready to use. The cost of making ROVIN SKG Gloss or ROVIN SKS Satin NO LEAD Glazes is significantly less expensive than commercial bottled glazes plus the added advantage of having the entire Mason Stain palette to choice from. ROVIN SKG Gloss achieves superb color and gloss with all Mason Colors on our price list. ROVIN SKS Satin has more palette fragility. To achieve a smooth satin finish with a bright color, more testing of the ratio between the Mason stain and ROVIN SKS Satin is required.
